Charles Hershkowitz worked in the chemical/detergent field in the 1950’s and founded Helix in Bronx, New York in 1965. Realizing a great need for quality cleaning products in the New York marketplace, the company quickly took flight and began

expanding its horizons throughout the Northeast. Eventually, Charles’ son, Larry, joined the company and expanded upon its quality product line to include an entire spectrum of cleaning products for every conceivable application.
Foodservice Cleaners to Institutional Laundry Detergents to Industrial and Specialty Products including enzyme based products…Helix had it all! In 1983, Helix grew out of its facility and relocated to Central New Jersey. Growth enabled us to install first rate filling and packaging lines. Our geographical location now puts us in the middle of the
tri state area to service our clientele with ease. We are within 1 hour of the New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia corridor.
As changing markets demanded more personalized branding, Helix began a private label sector. This sector catered to customers of all sizes, giving each customer the choice to decide how they wanted their products to look, feel and smell. Instead of generic lines, Helix designed a world where the people choose for themselves. At Helix, the customer doesn’t have to purchase off the shelf products.
